  • Can't see all files in "images" folder

Hi Spine,

My images folder has several subfolders (which contain subfolders.) Everything was going great but now can't see all the subfolders anymore. It happens to be the last folder if that helps. I'm on OSX.

Is there a limit on files/folders that can live in images folder?

Hi again,

It seems that the images folder can handle 10 folders at a time. Is that by design? I hope not. I'll work around it if it is, but would be great to support as many folders as I need within images.

I believe the image limit is 700, I honestly can't tell you if there is a subfolder limit though. Nate will be able to shed some light on that though.

Limit is 750 images and 6 subfolders deep. The idea is to prevent a crash when someone points Spine at C:\ or just \ and it tries to load every image on their hard drive. The limits can be raised, but I find it odd to need so many subfolders...

Edit: note it's 6 subfolders deep. Only images count against the 750, you can have as many subfolders as you want.

It may be that 10 folders just happened to be where I hit the 700 file limit. It's working now with some file rearrangement. Is that 700 file limit hard and fast? It sounds like a big number, but a customizable avatar will use up 700 files pretty fast.

Hi Spine,

This was working on Friday but not today. I wonder if latest auto-update broke the feature. Basically, I was able to see all images (1000 of them) on Friday, today able to see 200. Please let me know if you need a screen shot of my images folder layout.

The Images node in the tree now has an "All" button.
