  • Spine is awsome and I have a question about it

Hi, I saw the spine project on kickstarter. You guys are awsome, I've tried this software. My feedback is easy to use, interface is really neat.
And there is only one thing I want to know, is it possible to change some parts of the skin images to different images in the middle of a animation?

Hi dustedge. If you add multiple images to the same slot, you can switch between them, this is done through the tree.

Workflow to do it is the following

  1. Add two images to the same slot (only one of them can be visible at the same time)
  2. Switch to Animate mode
  3. go to the frame where you want the images to switch
  4. click the small visibility "dot" next to the image you want to be visible
  5. The key icon in the tree will change to orange, this means there is a change. Click the that icon (also a dot) and it will now be keyed. It will also show up in the dopesheet after being keyed.

Thanks for a fantastic program. I Just purchased it today. :yes:

I can't figure out how to animate images the way you have described here. I am trying to click the "visibility dot" but it is not clickable..

Another great video Tim! 🙂 Note when you click Set Parent, you can click a bone in the editor. Might save you from having to scroll up and down.
