Fillrate aside,
What would you say are average/acceptable ranges of draw call counts per platform... in general... nowadays?

And with Mantle and DirectX 12, do you think this paradigm will change at all?

On mobile, it depends, but maybe something around 30 texture binds per frame for low end devices. On desktop, a lot. Whatever you are doing, it's probably not an issue.
