Can Spine run on a Power PC based Mac?

Hi, I downloaded the Spine trial for Mac onto my Power Mac G5. It is running 10.5.8 os x and runs off of Power PC (since it's older, it's not intel based)

Has anyone gotten Spine to work on a power pc mac, or does Spine only support the Intel based architecture of newer Macs running os x 10.6 and up?

Spine runs on a Java VM. Do you know if Java stuff in general runs on your old mac?

I'm not sure, I don't have access to an older Mac.

Good to know, I'll be able to find out tomorrow. I don't have access to that Mac right now. I just formatted the hard drive and put in a fresh install of leopard, maybe I need to update Java... I'll give that a try. Thanks!

Updated Java, still having the same issues. As of right now it doesn't seem that Spine can run on the power pc architecture

By the way, my version of Java:

java version "1.5.0_30"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_30-b03-389-9M3425)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_30-161, mixed mode)

I believe this is the latest Java for mac os x 10.5.8

Aye, PowerPC is pretty old. Spine uses GLFW on Mac, and likely there isn't a PowerPC native lib for that. Sorry!

Ah, it's no big deal. I'm getting a new laptop within the month so I'll be able to get Spine on that then. Poor power pc, rest in irrelevancy peace 😢
