We're happy to announce native Apple Silicon support for Spine! Learn more in our blog post.
Can we expect iPad Pro version now? 😃
How do I update my Spine? Do I uninstall it and redownload the installer? Or should I just update in the settings?
To update the launcher you download it again from your Spine license page and install it again. No need to uninstall it first, but you can if you like. Uninstalling will remove your Spine settings though.
It worked! Awesome!
Hi, thanks a lot. I didn't make a benchmark but it works good.
But the installer is not signed. I know what a pain it is but maybe check it is possible.
Apart from not having to drop into Privacy & Security settings, signing the installer has no benefit. It would take quite a lot of work to get our binaries signed, as our app bundle can't follow Apple's (arbitrary) layout requirements. I'm afraid signing is not going to happen.
We are a new Pro license user and have this running very well on our iMac 24" Apple M1 2021, 16GB RAM, Ventura 13.3.1
Something went wrong. Spine Professional for Apple Silicon requires Rosetta to install: «Rosetta enables Intel-based features to run on Apple silicon Macs. Reopening applications after installation is required to start using Rosetta».
I prefer not to install Rosetta at all.
If you are running Spine Editor version < 4.0 I'm afraid you'll need Rosetta. There's no way around that.
Mario I can't run Spine Editor because I can't even install it without Rosetta installed.
