Howdy!
We've been using Spine for the last 6 months and are thoroughly happy with the product!
We're building a trading card/role playing game for tablets and phones due out in a few months and have been using Spine to do all of our character animations.
We're up to 11 rigs with 200 skins across those rigs. We're starting to run into some nasty performance issues in the spine IDE for our more common rigs (those with 70-80 skins on them). We've enabled the "all" button in the images (necessary to get new skins to load properly), but we're getting to the point where the IDE is pretty unstable.
I'm wondering if there's some performance improvements we might be able to see on the horizon. I'm wondering if you guys can maybe just load the skins on demand instead of what it appears to be doing (which is loading all the images up into memory). I think optimizing for skin switching time isn't super crucial (though maybe this could be a selectable option), and we'd be willing to put up with a small load time between swapping between individual skins.
