[AS3 Starling] Detect end of animation ?

Hi guys,

Is there a way to detect when an animation is completed ? I need to chain animation but I need to change skin sometimes before playing the next one. So I'd like to detect the end of an animation in order to change my skin and then launch my next animation.

AnimationState has isCompleted. Otherwise when the time >= animation.duration then the animation is completed.

Does that mean I have to check manually in a kind of EnterFrame/Update function if an animation is completed ?

When the Event Timeline feature comes in (coming soon), I assume you'll get to assign a callback on the last frame of the animation if that's what you wanted instead.

You have to update the AnimationState (in most runtimes) so you can just check before or after doing that.

Nate, can you share with us an update on where you are at with the Animation Events(callbacks). The frame suggestion is a bit of a pain, our animators are changing animations, which is causing me to change the code to have the effects line up with the animation frame. Any update would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have most of the editor work done. It affects the runtimes, so spine-libgdx will be done first, then others will follow. I hope to release it in a few days. I spent the last 2 days moving, so haven't had much time.
