Together with a designer I am building a kids app based on Monogame and Spine.
Here's the result of the first character animation the designer made with the Spine editor.
The interpolaton curves still need some work.
Let us know what you think of it.

great design!
I would offset the limbs a bit, it's very uniform as it is now, and make movement less linear. But you mentioned the curves needed some work so you're probably already aware of that.
Looks like you have some rotation going on that affects the legs, I'm wondering how you set up the skeleton since that should be relatively easy to fix?

With offsetting the limbs you mean, offset the timing of the keys?
The lower body is supposed to rotate a bit, shifting the weight more to the right leg.
The shadow is currently part of the foot image. Splitting that up will probably already be a big win.
Currently you can use the pose tool to position a chain of joints where the parent position stays fixed.
For this character the designer wanted to lock the feet and rotate the pelvis (parent of the upper legs and spine). Would it be possible to invert the pose tool so the child node would become the fixed node?

Inverting the pose tool would be IK pinning, something we would like to do.
